RIP little greenie

The other day, I wore my rainbows to the car and carried my dry cleaning and shoes in my gym bag. I stopped at the dry cleaners and felt majorly grown up. My mom used to always pick up and drop off dry her cleaning before work, and doing it made me feel like I've arrived in the professional world. (You could say it went to my head a little bit.)

When I got to work, I went to grab my shoes and unfortunately found that I'd turned one into the dry cleaner.

Hmm.

I spent the rest of the day in a pencil skirt, blouse - and my rainbows.

New trend?

When I stopped at the dry cleaners after work to see if they had my cute little green sandal, the Asian woman, who rarely understands what I'm saying, broke into a hearty laugh and said: Ohh Cinderella lost her shoe!

Anyone who knows me knows that while shoes aren't something over which I obsess, I get pretty attached to those that I love. If she hadn't been so hilariously adorable and proud of her Cinderella joke, I might have been a little sad. But instead I just laughed and said a little prayer that the shoe will finds its way home to its partner. You can't deny that they're sole mates.

Even though I haven't been a Converse person since I was in second grade and I got the 90210 hightops (pink!), something about these Bensimon shoes is kind of appealing.

I mainly love the bright colors (yellow!), and the fact that they're 50 percent off, plus free shipping. If I were more of a skinny jeans and tennies type of girl, I think I might be tempted to buy...
