better late than never

You guys. I failed.

Wednesday was National Running Day *and* National Froyo Day, and I missed them.

Those are two of my most favoritest things – like almost should have taken a day off work to celebrate them – and I just let them pass me by.

Sure, I went for a run, but I didn’t even wear an extra cute running outfit or listen to a new playlist.

Couple that with the fact that I didn’t eat any froyo, and I might as well not call myself Whitney.

I think I am going to have to make up for it this weekend. If you need me, check Menchi’s.

TGIF!

It's official. It's a beach day.

Here's the plan.

Let's skip work today. Everyone. All of us. And just go to the beach. We can get a big house. Or a small one. It doesn't matter.

We'll post up on the beach all day and then watch the sunset with a cocktail. We'll stay until Sunday and return to work refreshed and rejuvenated. It'll be great.

OK. See you there, then. Safe travels!

Cheers!

T-minus three days until Cheers for Children and I'm still a little bit dress-less.

Ah!

I don't know what I'm looking for, but I know I haven't found it. Anyone have anything lust- or purchase-worthy!? This girl needs some inspiration!

PS: If you're in Atlanta - come! It's going to be really fun. With or without a new dress!

Love in NOLA

This past weekend I traveled to New Orleans for my sweet friend Ali's wedding. It was my first time visiting the city and I was definitely taken aback. I don't know how NYC beat it out as the city that never sleeps. New Orleanians never sleep, nor do they ever stop celebrating.

Bourbon Street was fun and the French Quarter was undeniably enticing, but my favorite part was getting away from the hustle. The church was a few miles out and I absolutely loved see this portion of the city. It was beautiful and very tradition-rich. It reminded me a lot of Savannah.

Other highlights included Cafe du Monde, the Farmers' Market, the shopping and the street music ev.ery.where.

And, of course, Ali and Doug's beautiful wedding.

Congratulations Ali and Doug!
