que sera sera

Sara visited me this weekend and I was so happy to have her here. The weekend was a whirlwind, especially compared to the looong week anticipating her arrival. I couldn't believe we were already saying goodbye yesterday!

We went to Noche (my favorite restaurant - you must try it if you live in Atlanta), played outside, vegged by the pool, made Sangria and had an all around fabulous time!
On Saturday night, we went out in Buckhead, where Sara, a Red Sox fanatic, was happy to find the team's paraphernalia.
On Sunday we found a surprise piece of art at Marshall's. It was especially great because we weren't actually looking for anything, but wandered in after breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. Sara is extra-handy so she helped me hang it/did most of the work...

After we spent a little time by the pool with Jim, we decided to go to Costco, and although I'm not a member, convinced people in the parking lot to let us walk in with them so we could get frozen yogurt.
All around, the weekend was a great success! Now I just have to convince her to move to Atlanta :)

Thinking about it Thursday...

I stumbled upon What I'm Loving Wednesday yesterday and was definitely loving it.

I know I'm a day too late, but I can firmly say that the things I was loving yesterday, I'm also loving today. So, I present to you today, Thinking About it Thursday...
summertimeee

It appears that I'm thinking about throwing a cookout :) Also I am, of course, thinking about the fact that Sara arrives today! Amazing!

PS: Oh and I'm thinking about our weekend forecast. Equally as amazing!

Where did the weekend go?

My mom came to visit for Easter and we had the best weekend ever!

We bought flowers for my porch (photos to come once my green thumb kicks in), did some Easter shopping, laid by the pool, went to dinner with Jim, went to church and didn't have nearly enough time together!

Whenever my family visits me, I find myself driving home from the airport on Sunday thinking, "why, on earth, do we live so far apart?".

However, as much of a bummer as it is to be away from them, I must admit that I certainly love the special weekend trips.

And because we somehow managed to take zero, yes zero, pictures, I leave you with a really fabulous Easter photo I found on Court's blog. Oh Finny! I can just hear him saying, "whoooah!".
