what shall we call you?

Last month, I updated you on my one tri: one well campaign for charity: water, where, together, we raised $5,841. And now, I am so excited to fill you in on the next steps.

The funds have been distributed, and during the course of the next 18 months, they'll begin digging the well. Once it is complete, they'll send me a report, with photos, village information and GPS coordinates for where the well is located. Check out an example of these details here. I can't wait to Google earth the coordinates!

But before any of that happens, I have to name the well. And I wouldn't feel right doing it without your help. Obviously.

Below are a few ideas I have. Be sure to vote, or, if you have something better, leave it as a comment. It just has to be 50 characters or less, including spaces. I'm not sure I am sold on any of them yet, so I am certainly open to suggestions.

And thank you - in advance - for the great ideas I know will flow like water from your minds.

Also - check out this amazing video about charity: water's latest well. I watched it. And I cried.

weekend with the mule!

Campaign Move the Bibers to ATL 2k12 continued this weekend when Sam visited me. We had so much fun! Thank you Atlanta for being a really awesome city and for maybe showing off this weekend by being extra great.

Friday night we went to dinner at one of my neighborhood favs, F.R.O.G.s with Sam's friends Ryan and Alex. Saturday we went to West Egg (whoo!), did a little house hunting, then had a pretty solid game of four square.
After that, Sam and I went to Urban Outfitters and the King of Pops. See what I mean? Just a really great day.
Saturday night, we went to Farm Burger in Decatur for dinner.  And yes, I realize it sounds like we just ate our way through the city, but I can't really deny that.
After that, we went to the Highlands with my roommate Katie and her fiance.
It was just a perfect weekend - my only complaint is that it was too short! Come back soon, Mule! And possibly bring a U-Haul and stay for a while!

I thought I loved Toms yesterday...

But what I felt yesterday pales in comparison to how I feel today.

Love is just the beginning of it.

In fact, I had a whole post teed up this morning, but those words don't even seem worth sharing now. I'm so inspired by Blake Mycoskie and just really want to do something good. What will I do? I'm not sure yet. But he was amazing. And I want to be like him.

He told the story of the birth and explosion of Toms, then wrapped up by encouraging people to build not just their businesses, but their lives, on the basis of giving. ("Giving, in it's own right, feels good, and it's something we all should do." SO simple. Right?)

And in case the fact that he's a very handsome do-gooder wasn't enough, he's also really funny. Like I cracked up. A lot.

Also now I feel like I need another pair of Toms. And possibly some new glasses. Even though I swore off buying sunglasses for more than $15 when I lost my Ray Bans. But they're for a good cause. And Blake says that's good. You know?

Friday :)
